What Happened to Goodbye

What Happened To Goodbye
Sarah Dessen, the author of What Happened to Goodbye, and so many other wonderful teen novels.  What Happened to goodbye, is Sarah’s tenth book that has been written.  Sarah lived in Chapel Hill, NC ever since she was little. The mom and dad both worked at the university there and that’s where Sarah went to school. She still lives in the same little town as a book writer and a teacher and her husband, who is one of the most supportive people in her life. That summer was Sarah’s first book published, in 2009 and What Happened to Goodbye, published in 2011.
Mclean is a teenager who has moved around 4 different times in the last 2 years, ever since her mom had an affair, with Gus’s favorite basketball teams coach. Gus and Mclean left. Gus, a middle aged man, is a restaurant consultant who is also Mclean’s dad. They move to Lakeside for Mclean’s senior year. Jumping from place to place Mclean changes her name every town she goes. As she moves to lakeside she chose to go with her real self, Mclean.

Mclean doesn’t find friends here, her friends are finding her. She’s not looking for a relationship, the cute neighbor boy found her. Mclean is starting to fit it and things might actually turn around and she won’t have to move in the next 6 months. She comes home to find her dad holding hands with a councilwomen and knows, her life is about to take a turn. This is all happening why her mom is trying to fight for custody; also her friends find out that Mclean is more than one person and has many different names. Now as everyone is running around trying to find out the truth Mclean leaves to go on vacation with her mom.
I enjoyed this book and thought it was one of the better ones from Sarah Dessen. She explains a lot of different situations but keeps them linked together.  I would recommend this book to anybody to read. So read it for more information about what happens and where Mclean ends up going.

Royally Crushed

Royally Crushed
Niki Burnham is the author of Royally Crushed. She writes books for young adults and teens. Niki has been almost all over the world to live. Her father was an army guy, which caused her to move around a lot. Niki now lives in Colorado with her husband and miniature poodle. Royally Crushed has three books in one, Royally Jacked, Spin Control, and Do-Over. I enjoyed this book because it has a lot to do with high school situations that take place in our high schools now.
Val has a dad who works as the president’s sidekick and a mom that is the stay at home kind of mom.  When her mom comes out as gay the night that Val thought she was a normal teenager, her world come crashing down. Val is now the not-so-normal teenager that everyone thought she was. Val has a choice to stay with her mom and move into a new apartment with her new girlfriend, Gabriella, or go with her dad to a million miles away to a little place called Schwerinborg, Europe.  While hiding the real reason Val’s parents are getting a divorce to her friends, Val has bigger problems. The guy she has been crushing on ever since kindergarten. David is now taking interest in her.

Valerie chose to move away with her dad, leaving everything but him behind. When she gets to her new apartment in the “palace”, where she now lives, she finds that there are no other kids around besides Prince Georg.  She takes to him very well and has a lot in common with him. They talk and fall in love like every other teen high school book almost. Until, the get photographed by the media and word gets out the Val is not the good girl that should be with the Prince. The two families (Prince Georg and Val and her dad) have to stay away until things cool down. So Val goes home to visit her mom and Georg goes on a beach trip to help little kids in the hospitals.
When the two families get back, Val her dad Georg and Georg’s follower, plan a ski trip. They ride the slopes small ones then the big ones, they go to lunch and Val’s dad gives his daughter the bad news. The girl that is Georg’s follower is dating Val’s dad. This makes her day long and all Val can do is think about it. By the time the trip is over Val is a-okay with her dad and the French lady (that’s what Val calls her).
I hope you enjoy this blog, and like it enough to read the book. It’s a very well written book .

II'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You

I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You
Ally Carter, the author of I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You. Ally was born and raised in Oklahoma, where she went to the Oklahoma University and Cornell University. Ally still lives there as a full time writer. She has written a few books with series and then some. Ally farther her writing with the Gallagher Girls Series.
Cammie Morgan, the daughter of the top spy, goes to the highest spy school known. Cammie meets new friends and her adventure begins. Cammie goes to this all girl school known as, The Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women. Cammie’s mother is the head leader at this school and her father, well her dad disappeared years ago.
Cammie goes out on a mission with several of the new classmates. She meets a boy that does not seem to be real, but this boy is a real as it gets. Meet Zach, Zach is another type of spy. He goes to the guy spy academy (the book really doesn’t give the name of it). They meet and Cammie tires to focus on her mission, but she just cannot focus.

Later Cammie finds out that Zach could be part of her dads missing, Rebecca, Cammie’s mom, is falling for a guy that could also be part of her dad’s accident, and the teachers at Cammie’s school may no more than the want to put out. So Cammie puts together her own mission. Her mission is to find out who killed her father and why they did so.
I enjoyed this book because it is a teen book, but at the same time it gives dangerous missions, and more action in it then some of her other books do. I would recommend reading this book and then read the rest of the series to the Gallagher Girls. Ally Carter is a good writer and I can’t wait until the next book comes out to the series.

The Iron King

Iron King
Julie Kagawa, the writer of the book called the Iron King. The first book in the series called the Iron Fey, is The Iron King.  She has some other books besides this series, which I have not yet read, but would like too. Julie lives in Louisiana, KY, with her husband, two cats, a dog and a new puppy. She loves writing books, tries to have a lot of free time, and follows other book authors, so she can become a better writing.
The Iron king is a girl, named Megan Chase, who is living her life as a normal teen would, hanging out with friends, going places, wasting money, just having a good time. She has a mom step dad and a half brother. Her dad went missing so many years ago and has never been found or herd of. He disappeared without a trace.  Her and her family move a lot but Megan can’t seem to find out why.
Megan has come home to find her mom on the floor with her head bleeding and Ethan, the little brother, standing over her with a hammer. Ethan tells his sister that it was only an accident and that she had fallen, but Megan didn’t seam to believe that. When, she tired to get the hammer from her baby brother he attacked her, yes attacked his own sister. Then Robby, Megan`s best friend and only friend, came to the door Ethan ran as fast as he had ever run before to his room. After a while had passed Megan went to check on him.

They find out that he is not the real son he is a changeling, a creature invented by the mysterious Iron King. To find him and bring the real boy home Megan must go to fairyland and search for him. Robby is the summer prince, ash, a boy Megan soon falls for, is the winter prince. The summer and winter families do not get a long. After, being in fairyland for a few days, Megan comes to find out that her dad, that disappeared when she was 6 years old, is the summer fairy king.
Now, Megan must go through lies, broken hearts and friendships that may be lost forever to find her brother and return home.
I enjoyed reading this book. I think it has a very interesting story and explains a lot of the events very well, thats happining in the book.

Lock and Key

Lock And Key
Lock and Key the book by the teen author Sarah Dessen. She writes novels on what’s going on in today’s world, and the obstacles happening with guys and girls in our generation. Sara Dessen could pass for a very good book writer, if you are into love stories, and romance. She tells you basically how it is. Like, all authors she has good books and some bad books, but that’s in my opinion. So why don’t you read some and tell me how you like them?
This story has to do with a girl names Ruby who has no dad and a mom that movies every other month. She has a sister that just went away to college; she hasn`t had any communication with Cora, her sister, in 6 years. The little girl, now 16 and her mom struggle to find a home they can afford with her very low income. When, the mom becomes unable to take it anymore she gets up and leaves, leaving the girl to fend for herself. Ruby does stay at the house with no water, no heat, no air, and no washer or dryer. The landlord finds it questioning where the family’s at, when the family that lives there’s supposed to be paying the payments. When, they go to the house and find what a mess it is, they call children services.
Children services comes and Ruby goes to stay on the other side of town with her sister and her sister’s new husband. Everyone finds it hard to fit in and hard to adjust to the new things. The first night ruby tries to run away, but when jumping the fence she lands in her neighbor’s swimming pool, where the boy named Nate is swimming. They become friends, outside of school, inside they barely talk. Nate is the big star and ruby is the new girl.

Ruby finds herself a small job with Harriett as a jewelry seller. She inspires Harriett of making a key for a necklace. That sells so good they don’t know where to go next. While Nate, is running around doing errands for his dad, who is a business man. Ruby hints on that Nate is being abused by his dad. She does not take this information to anybody, until she thinks it is getting worse. Ruby takes it to her sister and she tries to help out. Nate gets mad and doesn’t talk to Ruby for a while until he comes to realize that she was only trying to help and be there for him. By this time, it is too late.
Read the book to find out what happens…
